  29. I just got a copy of this disc in, and started playing with it.  The nice
  30. little blurb "BBS Ready" on the front got my attention, and I knew that it
  31. was time to play... (smile!)  However, looking at this disc, was like a
  32. time tunnel trip.. back into the bad old days when publishers both took
  33. anything that they could get to put on a disc, and then threw together
  34. a vague collection of text and called it "BBS Ready".  Threw together
  35. may actually be nice in this case.. these are some of the _worst_ formatted
  36. file listings that I've ever seen!

  38. The BBS support (using the term loosely here) that was on the disc came from
  39. files named FILES.BBS, located in the sub-directories where the files are
  40. located.  The List consisted of a file name, a size (for example, 363k) and
  41. then the descriptions.  That sounds reasonable, right?  It would have been,
  42. had they stuck to a single pattern as to where each element went.  Looking
  43. from page to page, you would see the thing vary wildly... and then you might
  44. also have to content with file description lines that ran way beyond the 80
  45. column right hand side.  Arrggh!

  47. The images are in standard .GIF format, and honestly appear to be a rather
  48. standard collection of BBS scans.  Because of this, it's quite likely that
  49. you will find a good number of these images on older titles floating around
  50. there.  The images are definately XXX rated, with a lot of hardcore material
  51. in them.

  53. As per our usual treatment, we will have EZRom/SFRom setups and file listings
  54. available for download on our board.  Because these are adult file listings,
  55. they are NOT available to the first time caller.  You will need a Adult
  56. Customer access on our board in order to retrieve these files from us.
  57. This access is available to anyone that purchases an adult title from us.
  58. Otherwise, sorry guys... (grin!)  We _do_ give away the shareware configs...
  59. but in this age of litigation, we have to play it a bit more tight with the
  60. adult stuff.  The file listing name will be 2APEARL2.ZIP.

  62. Overall impression?  Well, this is definately a time warp here... back to
  63. the days that a lot of us would rather forget, I think.  The file listings
  64. basically suck rocks, and the images are retreads.  If it's something that
  65. you gotta have, then you gotta have it... if not, you might want to wait
  66. for something better to come along.
